SVGZ is an open compressed format that uses gzip compression to reduce the size of SVG documents, which can grow significantly with complex graphics. An .svgz file is a compressed gzip archive, with a plaintext SVG document inside.
Both SVG and SVGZ vector images can be directly viewed and/or interacted with in most web browsers (or with a browser plugin); they are supported by a number of office suites, vector image editors, viewers and others.
