Opening mph files

Have a problem opening a .mph file? We collect information about file formats and can explain what mph files are. Additionally we recommend software suitable for opening or converting such files.

What is the .MPH file type?

The primary association of the .mph extension is the COMSOL Multiphysics Model (MPH) file format and file type. Multiphysics is a comprehensive commercial software product by COMSOL Inc. for 2d/3D modeling of physical processes on a virtual model for scientific, industrial, educational, and other applications.

A Multiphysics model is an .mph file with all model data saved in a single project-type file. This .mph file stores the entire model tree with its Global Definitions (geometry, meshing, parametric equations, forces, physical effects, etc.) and Results (data resulting from solving a model in several representations) sections.

In image processing, the .mph extension can be assigned to PhotoLine Morphing (MPH) files created with PhotoLine, an advanced raster/vector image editor with support of RGB/CMYK/Lab color spaces, non-destructive editing, object morphing etc. An object morphing setup made with PhotoLine can be saved as an MPH morphing file to be further loaded and used on the same or different objects within a Photoline image editing project (PLD).
